Navigating & Addressing Power Dynamics

The purpose of this series is to empower employees and build trust.

In all workplaces, relationships and the ability to do the work are impacted by differences in power dynamics.

What’s important is to be aware of power dynamics and how it interacts with conflict and addressing bias.

For general staff, addressing bias and trust within power dynamics adds extra layers of difficulty to already sensitive interactions.

Over the course of three 2-hour workshops, Calico’s Power Dynamic Series:

  • Equip participants with the basics on how to answer “What is unconscious bias?”

  • Empower team members to productively and confidently interrupt unconscious bias and biased interactions, even when power dynamics are involved.

  • Empower individuals to contribute to increased inclusion

  • Increase individual trust in colleagues, leading to greater personal investment in the organization.

  • Support productive conversations during and following stressful incidents.

  • Help employees analyze their emotional states to support themselves and each other

These workshops help staff learn how to collaborate with each other and nurture relationships across managerial levels to help constructively improve the welcoming atmosphere of your organization.
