Indigenous Land Acknowledgement

Calico Culture Strategies operates on the unceded ancestral homeland of the Ramaytush and Muwekma Ohlone peoples in the San Francisco Bay Area. We acknowledge their ongoing presence and sovereign rights, despite the historical and continuing impacts of settler colonialism. We honor the Ramaytush and Muwekma Ohlone peoples, past, present, and future, and stand in solidarity with their struggles against erasure. We encourage everyone to learn more about the indigenous peoples of their own lands and consider giving through initiatives like the Shuumi Land Tax.
