  • Over the span of a three year partnership, we:

    • Increased confidence of CWDA leaders and staff with skill-building and bias intervention practice.

    • Facilitated 5+ year strategic plan development and implementation for lasting growth and impact.

    • Onboarded county agencies with client’s renewed focus on DEI with custom level-setting and culture-setting interactive work sessions and panel events at annual conference

  • Low admission rate of underrepresented students

    1. Support admissions committee in countering unconscious bias when examining applicants 

    2. Increase the percentage of underrepresented students admitted 

  • Our work over 7 months:

    • Increased confidence of the admissions committee with two skill-building and bias intervention practice interventions

    • Provided survey design for reporting the impact of programming funded by grant-giver

    • As a result of our interventions, UTHSC OT admission of underrepresented students went from lagging behind the university’s average to leading. They increased representation from 9.4% in 2018 to 34.7% in 2023 and 2024.

    • Our clients proved that our virtual workshop can reduce perceived bias and increase diversity in an occupational therapy program. 

    UTHSC OT client published their findings in a peer-reviewed journal.
